So, back to my topic - This is a list of things that you must not, should not, must absolutely never, ever, ever, ever, ever do late at night:
- Drink 2 strong cups of coffee after 10pm. (Don't even bother trying to ask me why because I have no idea)
- Start reading a 600 page Marian Keyes novel as everyone is now asleep, you are wide awake and know that this is the perfect time to finish all 600 pages before the sun climbs over your house and pokes its bright, yellow, blinding rays of light through that gap in the curtains and straight in your eyes because you are sound asleep at 9.30am when all the decent people of the world have already cleaned their teeth, their faces, their bodies, their houses, their cars and two-thirds of the planet.
- Decide that 1.30 am is a perfectly acceptable time to go looking for a phillips screwdriver so that you can assemble that pedestal fan you bought from The Warehouse five years ago on sale because it's so muggy you can hardly breathe let alone sleep.
- Start planning your bake fest for when you get up (after the sun or the baby successfully pokes you in the eye hard enough to wake you up in the morning
afternoon.) - Go on to Facebook checking updates, answering questions, randomly clicking 'Like', trying to think of something deep and meaningful to say on your status just because other people seem to have such deep and meaningful status updates. Those braincells could be put to better use.
- Get back on the computer and write random posts such as this one.
All too familiar! I'm pretty sure I wrote this in my mind :)
ReplyDeleteRandomly timed posts have that x-factor though, don't you think? I think it comes from the little pinch of insanity. Lol!
'Pinch of insanity'- I like that! Must add the coffee/caffeine ban to my list of New Year goals. Obvious consequences - random posts and sleep deprivation.
